Zipporah

According to the Hebrew Bible, Zipporah was the wife of Moses in the Book of Exodus. The word ‘Zipporah’ means ‘bird’. She was one of the seven daughters of Jethro, the high priest of Midian, who is also called Reuel throughout the Bible. Zipporah was given to Moses for a wife after he lived with her family in the desert for many years. She bore Moses two sons; Gershom and Eliezer. Some scholars believe that Zipporah was the dark-skinned woman spoken of by Miriam and Aaron, the siblings of Moses, in the Book of Numbers.
