Noah
Noah was, according to the Hebrew Bible, the tenth and last of the antediluvian Patriarchs. The figure of Noah, and the story of the flood, is retold by many different religions from their own perspectives. The actual biblical story of Noah appears in chapters 6-9 of the book of Genesis. As the son of Lamech, Noah has three of his own sons, Shem, Ham and Japheth. Noah was commanded to build an Ark and to save many species of animals. In the Gospel of Luke, it equates Noah’s Flood with the coming Day of Judgment. Noah is the First Epistle of Peter and is a “preacher of righteousness.”
