Moses
Moses was, according to the Bible, a religious leader, lawgiver and prophet. Moses’ Hebrew mother, Jocheved, hid him when the Pharaoh ordered all newborn Hebrew boys to be killed. He was then picked up by and adopted by the Egyptian royal family. He is most famous for leading the Israelites out of Egypt across the Red Sea and for receiving the Ten Commandments personally. The Bible relates to him as the greatest Prophet of all time.
