During a debate on adultery Senior Fellowship Church Pastor and founder Ed Young spoke on the topic sex and about its meaning in a marriage. His opponent in the debate was Noel Biderman, the founder of AshleyMadison.com. Biderman created a website that made it easier for married people to cheat on their spouses. Even though a marriage asks those who enter it to only commit to their partner he gives the explanation that cheating on a purely physical level can save a marriage. “At least here you have a community of like-minded adults who are aggregated together and everybody knows what they’re getting into,” he pointed out.

Ed Young on the other hand thinks differently about this issue and gives sex a deeper meaning than purely the physical part. It connects a couple on a deeper level and should only be practiced with one another. He calls out Biderman and lets him know that there is no room for adultery in a healthy marriage. “I want people to come away with, ‘Hey, God thought sex up. It was his idea and when we do it his way then the results can be incredible,” Ed Young explained. God has created sex as a gift and doing it his way is staying true to the one we promised to honor and respect for our whole life. Because if we like to share the bedroom with more people than our spouse why did we get married?

Life’s too short

Each one of us has the ability to start a day choosing for it to be good or bad. We can get out of bed and curse that it is Monday and we still have a week ahead of us before it is the weekend again. In comparison to that we can also decide that we are happy it is monday because we get to experience Monday, and we get to see our colleagues. You never know what can happen if you open yourself to the possibilities and joys of the moment. Ed Young stresses the fact that life is too short to waste our time approaching life negatively.

Life’s too short to be negative. In this short clip he explains why we are faced with the negativity of people around us as well as the negativity that we approach our lives with too. There are many sayings that advise you to live each day as if it is your last. This shows what the senior Fellowship Church pastor expresses as well – “Life is too short to fill our days, weeks, months and years with attitudes and actions that, in the grand scheme of things, are just a waste of precious time.”

Leaving Lust Vegas – What’s your Vegas?

Movies, TV shows, commercials – Lust is what drives sales and gets people’s attention. It dominates the media as chick-flicks and adult movies are shown more frequently and at earlier times in the day, exposing an increasing number of people to it. Ed Young describes this lust as something that prevents you from gaining freedom. Instead it is encouraging you further towards temptation.

In his CD and DVD Leaving Lust Vegas Ed Young shows you the constraints lust puts upon you. He shows you the way of overcoming these burdens in order to discover the real satisfaction God has planned for you.
